Citysearch is a local search service, providing information on a wide range of local businesses. from restaurants and retail, to travel and professional services. Citysearch boasts one million editorial and user reviews and ratings of local businesses.

Citysearch uses a pay for performance (PFP) cost model whic includes a flat fee of $2 to $12 cost per call received and cost per click. Advertisers can also promote their businesses with banners on a pay for impression basis.

Citysearch has reviews on local merchants; you can find anything from plumbers and mechanics to pizza and night clubs. CitySearch has more than 100 million monthly pageviews and over 12 million monthly unique visitors. They also claim to power local content for MSN and Ask.com.

The downside? I don't like the fixed CPC pricing model; you can't specify what price you are willing to pay, rather you must pay the amount they require. This is a huge drawback for me! Citysearch advertiser support appears very difficult (long response time) to contact. Also, I have not been very impressed with some of the lcoal search results (very limited compared to other local search engines)
