GOOGLE is always LAST.

Whenever I created a website it always takes somewhere around 6 months to get listed in GOOGLE.

Google unlike others conside the age of the website a factor when rankings sites.

First I start seeing my site ranked well in MSN, YAHOO and only then 6MONTHS.

I was able to improve my PR to PR5 in that time. Simple used directory submission tools and article submission tools to get high quality backlinks.

This can be waste of TIME.

In the past I used to make use of the Google ADD URL page.

There is also MSN and Yahoo ADD URL pages. These are just plain useless according to some experienced marketers.

The truth is that they were created by google, msn and yahoo just to answer the question that was frequently asked: "How do we get listed in your search results".

They could not respond to everyone always so they created these pages.

The real method to get listed is to get backlinks. Backlinks are just links to your website from other sites. They can come from anyplace, they all count.

I used to waste time submitting to the ADD URL pages. That is why I never got indexed!

Blogs from Blogger.com

Blogger.com is also provided thanks to GOOGLE.

This is another new, fast and free way to create a website.

I like to create blogs about some hobby I have then add adsense to the blog template. I don't make a 5 figure income but gives me extra cash each month.

The trick is to create a blog related to something you like doing. Then add a new post each day. I join also some affiliate program related to my blog theme and place the affilaite links as well.

This method is free and profitable... Blogger.com is obviously better than MSN blogs or Yahoo Blogs.

SEO consists of onpage and offpage optimization.

There are many techniques to improve your rankings...

However all of them need the same thing which is:

Provide accurate and the information requested by their visitors.

There is no need to worry a lot about improving your PR. Your main point is to give what the search engines want.

Unique content, new content and no spamming like keyword spamming. Those are important.
Using blackhat SEO never gives good results but bad.

I always imnprove my rankings using Good SEO... That is how it works.

It is not something that will happen fast. Neither is there a free way to do it.

The free way might take years.
I got some free tools to achieve good rankings and use some paid tools like article submitters.

Anyway now there is the new era of blogs. These can be quite helpful to get backlinks as well. The technique is not considered Black Hat but many people don't like it at all.

People create new blogs (a lot of them), and place there website there. Those are all one way backlinks that improve the rakings... Some people make also the use of sotware to create blogs fast.

This technique does not spam other peoples blogs, but created a lot of useless blogs.

Great Traffic... Slow Response

Google for me has been a friend who has to be cajoled and kept happy for it to be good to me (read, my sites).

If it were only the traffic I considered, Google beats every other search engine out there hands down! The quality of traffic it sends to my sites and the resulting business are simply amazing. I consider it to be the top performers in my marketing team Wink

However, the slow response of its bot and the looooong time time it takes for a site to be included in the index and gain any respectable ranking are a real pain! MSN and Yahoo have been seen responding to new sites within a week, sometimes even a day! But Google? No way. It takes its own sweet time and perhaps this is the reason why it is able to deliver the quality traffic it does.

I still would be extremely happy if Googlebot were a little quick on its feet! What say you guys? Smile

Google indexes countless websites everyday, there are many other sites that have been waiting before you and so I guess it's like everything else in life - "First come first serve".
Sure I use Google for many searches but don't you hate it when you want to find a review of Photoshop CS2 and you can only find websites giving reviews of Photoshop 6? Google just gives more weight on older sites I guess, that's why the Sandbox/Aging Delay was introduced too.
Google is successful because it is unique, it uses different techniques and delivers different results, I guess this is why Google is so popular.
I guess in the long run, Google can and will benefit your site whether it's a personal one or used for business.

Building a good PR for your site!

Author : devil666   PostTue Oct 03, 2006 4:59 am

There always has been a debate on how to build good PR for one's sites. Should one go for links only on high PR sites or try lower ones as well.

I have my own take on this based on personal experience.

What I aim at is getting lots of inbound links, no matter what PR... but I keep it in mind that they shouldn't be from link farms, i.e., sites that have huge amount of outbound links on their pages.

Lots of links denote that your site is popular, has authority which makes so many people want to mention it on their site. And since each one of these low PR sites is trying to increase its PR, you end up having very good exposure over a period of time and your inbound links grow heavier in weight. This will be favoured by the search engines in the long run.

And in any case, building a good PR takes time. So guys, try this strategy out. It has worked tremendously well for many of my sites.

Cheers!

Google no parallel to them

Google is really the best around whether its providing search results or advertising opportunities there is no parallel to them. Some might say there policies are strict in regard to their revenue sharing but you should keep in mind they are the biggest internet force around and for them to remain successful at highest level its absolutely mandatory to keep a strict eye on cheating .There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.Rules are made to be followed in true spirit.Always keep in mind they pay the highest so one should be extra careful with their policies. They get the highest ranking every where.

Google places way to much emphasis on links. I think it creates a lot of spam.
